What is it?
This is a map showing the atmospheric condition forecast for the Yoder Observing Site near Montezuma, GA. It is a useful 48 hour forecast to help determine what the expected conditions are for astronomical observation. How does it work? In the "Sky" section darker squares are better. Cloud Cover: White is completely cloudy dark blue is clear. Transparency: Darker squares indicate high air transparency allowing you to see faint nebulous objects easier. The Celestial Window observatory houses a 16" newtonian telescope, a 10" schmidt newtonian telescope, a 6" schmidt cassegrain and a 60mm Hydrogen-Alpha solar telescope.
The observatory is open to the public on a reservation basis. Come see for yourself how the heavens declare the glory of God.
